Donald Klundt
Oct. 16, 1950 — July 1, 2017
Donald Klundt, age 66, a lifetime resident of the
Walla Walla Valley, was called home to the Lord on
Saturday July 1, 2017. Don was born on October 16,
1950. This was also the first wedding anniversary of
his mother and father, Gust and Rose Marie Klundt.
Don graduated from DeSales High School in 1969,
then went on to attend Walla Walla Community College.
Don worked for 25 years at Rogers Cannery in
Milton Freewater. Don was an upbeat individual who
could talk for hours with anyone about any sport. He
loved the Portland Trailblazers, Seattle Mariners
and Seattle Seahawks. He was also an avid golfer and
bowler in his younger years. He was a past member of
the Fraternal order of Eagles.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Gust and
Rose Marie Klundt. He is survived by his brothers
and sister-in-laws, Jeff (Terri) Klundt, Joe (Christie)
Klundt; his nieces, Lyette and Stephanie and their
families. He is also survived by numerous cousins,
and many many friends. Don was blessed to have Janet
Derrah as the love of his life. He proposed and she
accepted just two weeks before his passing. Janet was
very special to Don and he loved her very much. Don’s
final wish was granted by having Janet by his side as
he passed onto eternal life.
