Q's and A's:
1. When is the reunion? The weekend of September 13 - 15, 2019. Activities include
- A "no-host" social Friday at the Big House Brew Pub beginning at 6 PM and going until whenever. Food and drink are no host. Order your own. Pay for your own.
- Wine-tasting Saturday in downtown Walla Walla. Meet in the lobby of the Marcus Whitman around noon and split in to small groups who can then decide which tasting rooms they would like to visit. The tasting rooms are all within walking distance. This will be a no host activity.
- A Saturday picnic will be hosted by Jim and Monica Gaffrey and Dale Pfiffner and will be held at the Gaffrey home located at 1389 SE Independence Dr., College Place. Please thank them. It will be held from approximately 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Food provided by Gaffrey and Pfiffner. Feel free to drop in after wine tasting.
- Saturday dinner will be at the Courtyard by Marriott. $50 per person. Includes sales tax, gratuity, room rent, etc. Does not include alcohol. It will be available but you will buy your own. Dinner is scheduled for 6:30 PM. It will be what is described as a BBQ buffet. Entrees will be flank steak and a chicken dish. Dress code consists of a clean shirt. We have asked Mary Pontarolo, our senior class president, and Jack Lyons, our student body president, to say a few words. We will also have a very short recognition of our deceased classmates. Pat Aylward will also take just a minute to thank all the people who helped to plan and put together this reunion.
- Sunday Mass will be at DeSales at 9 AM on Sunday. Father Dave Clark will officiate.
- Sunday brunch will be at DeSales at 10 AM on Sunday. There will be a very nice catered brunch. Cost is $15 per person, which is all inclusive.
The reunion committee also requests that you pay an adminstrative fee of $5 per participant to help defray the costs of putting the event together.
2. Do I have to plan on attending the reunion to join the website? No! The website is a forum for you to both tell us what you've been up to and to catch up on what your classmates have been up to for the last half-century. Whether you plan on attending the reunion or not, we'd love to have you join us on the website.
3. Why are there ads? The website hosting company, Class Reunion Creator, provides a free base product, but loves to sell add-ons. I'm avoiding add-ons, at least for now. It costs a lot to get rid of the ads.
4. Why is the class picture from the 1968 yearbook instead of the 1969 yearbook? Because your webmaster is in this picture.
